A modern love story told through a series of dictionary-style entries is a sequence of intimate windows into the large and small events that shape the course of a romantic relationship.

MY THOUGHTS

This month I had zero money to spend on books, and obviously that makes me sad. But thank the lord for the library that caries some interesting books from time to time. Like this one, I have been wanting to read this for ages, but preferably in English. Of course, living in the Netherlands, the libraries carry usually Dutch books, and because I live in the most rural part ever, it only caries a few English books. So I got this in Dutch, because I was pretty desperate for a good book to read and I was too lazy to choose one from my shelves. It was a good decision I made by getting this book. Because it was amazing. And perfect and just wonderful.

The title in Dutch is Liefdeswoordenboek which is a literal translation from the original title, so I liked that they kept the title pretty much the same. Also the lovely cover was kept. I really adore the cover, it's minimalistic, but it's also cute and very lovey dovey at the same time.

This book is written in the form of little dictionary entries that all together formed a beautiful love story between two human beings.

I loved how the concept of this book was new and fresh and that somehow, without knowing whether the characters are male or female, the characters can grow close to you. It was unexpected, it was memorable. I wished I could read the entire story. I devoured this book so quickly, I finished it within a day. I just don't know what to say about this book.

David Levithan is definitely one of my favorite authors and I really enjoyed all the books I have read by him. I have never been disappointed by his writing. I am looking forward to reading the rest of his books and I hope you enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed it. If you haven't read the book yet, I highly recommend this book. However, I think this novel is nicer when you're in love yourself.
